The Coordinator of the VMRO-DPMNE’s parliamentary group, Ilija Dimovski, at today’s session in Parliament, where MPs are deciding on the make-up of the interim government, said that Oliver Andonov had been appointed as minister for just one day, so that the VMRO-DPMNE could protect the Ministry of Interior from the SDSM’s choice of minister.
“Last time, ministers and deputy ministers from the SDSM abused their positions while in office as ministers. That is why, by appointing Andonov, we wanted to protect the ministry from the SDSM and try to ensure that the consequences would not be so great. Regardless of what you may think, we are positive that yesterday’s move was the right course of action”, said Dimivoski.
The session where MPs are selecting the make-up of the interim government is still in progress, and MPs from the VMRO-DPMNE and the SDSM are arguing over who will win the election, and who would govern the country better.
