Diametrical differences between surveys researching public support for Katica Janeva and the SPO

Surveys conducted by several agencies for research on the public opinion show diametrically opposed differences with citizens opinions in terms of ratings, trust and confidence in the Special Prosecutor’s Office and prosecutor Katica Janeva.

The newest survey by the International Republican Institute (IRI) who are based in Washington says that 63 percent of the respondents support the Special Prosecutor’s Office who are investigating the cases which arose with the wiretapping scandal.

One month ago, on May the 12th, the institute “Pavel Shatev” published their results from their survey which showed more than 60 percent of the respondents do not support Katica Janeva or the SPO, and that 25.2 trust the institution.

The same institute, on March the 18th published another survey, which showed that 64.3 percent do not support Katica Janeva and the SPO, 23.4 do have confidence in them and 12.3 percent did not answer.

The agency for public opinion research “Brima Galup” which are used by media outlet “Republika”, on February the 12th published their survey which showed that 50 percent of citizens do not support Katica Janeva or her office and 32.4 percent do.
