The court has accepted three out of six detention requests from the Basic Public Prosecution regarding the bus accident at the village of Laskarci last month when 15 passingers were killed. The driver who was driving with higher speed, the owner of the Durmo Tours company and the manager were taken into detention.
“Acting upon a request by the Basic Prosecution for taking into detention for six persons and measures of precaution for one person, who were taken to the court, a Preliminary hearing judge after taking into account the persons’ testimonies including the facts and evidence that were submitted with the request, has made a decision for a detention of 30 days for D.B. R.M. and M.T.” announced Basic Court Skopje 1.
For the other two persons for whom the Prosecution was requesting detention, the court sentenced them to a house arrest while for two others the court decided measures of precaution.
The accident at the village of Laskarci happened on the 13th of February when the Durmo Tours bus with 51 passengers on it strayed from the road and fell into an abyss after it breached the road fence. 15 persons got killed in the accident and 39 were injured.
