The Appellate court overruled Katica Janeva’s appeal and decide that the former Head of SPO remain in custody. The main reason for this decision is the danger of Katica Janeva fleeing the country.
The judges have taken into consideration the information that the investigation is over which has taken out the danger of Katica Janeva influencing witnesses. But, despite this, Appellate has decided that her detention should be prolonged for the second time for a period of 30 days.
The appeal lodged by attorneys that represent the former Head of SPO followed when the Criminal court overruled the guarantee by Janeva in the form of movable and immovable property as a guarantee in order to be granted a less severe measure.
Katica Janeva is one of the accused in the Racket case. She is accused of misuse of power as former President of SPO and is in detention since the 21st of August.
