Together with the European Union, we are working on the fulfillment of the agreement from June by the political parties, which was reinforced in August. We are working on it, to make sure that the agreement will be fulfilled ahead of the elections.
This was stated by the US Ambassador, Jess Baily while in Stip at a ceremony marking the arrival of a new group of 50 Peace Corps Volunteers.
“But at the end of the day, that is the decision for your politicians, political parties and finally the citizens on how to solve these issues. There are still open matters that need to be decided”, Baily replied when asked about the current political situation.
In regards to the ongoing meetings with politicians, talks with representatives of the Albanian parties and the existence of certain initiatives, Ambassador Baily did not give a precise answer, but did state that people from the embassy held such meetings on a daily basis.
