125 new COVID-19 cases, the active cases count climbed to 1124

The Ministry of Health of North Macedonia informed that in the past 24 hours, 1085 COVID-19 tests were conducted, which diagnosed 125 new patients with the disease.

The new cases count is highest in Skopje, with 46 cases; next is Kumanovo with 19 new cases, followed by Shtip (17), Tetovo (16), Struga (7), Gostivar (6), Ohrid (5), Veles (3), Negotino (2), and one new case in Prilep, Bitola, Kochani and Delchevo each.

In the past 24 hours there were 2 deaths from COVID-19 – a 73-year old man from Prilep, who was hospitalized on 19th of May in the General City Hospital “8th of September” – Skopje; and a 67-years old woman from Strumica, who was hospitalized on 18th of May in the Neurosurgery Clinic in Skopje.

The total number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the outbreak climbed to 2915, out of which 1640 recovered and 151 persons died. The count of the active cases is 1124, and  595 of that total are from Skopje.
