We possess serious evidence that indicates that on Thursday at the Parliament a criminal act of terrorism jeopardizing of the constitutional order and security was done, said today SDSM’s spokesperson Petre Shilegov, also saying that it’s a violation of Article 313 of the Criminal Code.

-We have photographs, video materials, and other evidence, and we know who are the persons that had masks or had not that tried to kill MPs at the Parliament, who attacked journalists and employees at the Parliament. The evidence will be submitted at authorized institutions. We indicate that the Ministry of Interior and the Republic Public Prosecution not to delay and not to find excuses on the third day after the incidents, but to act, officially, to determine the responsibility – said Shilegov.

SDSM’s spokesperson added that the attack on the MPs, journalists, as well as the attack on the Parliament, is jeopardizing the constitutional order and the security and that someone has to be taken accountable, both the orderers and the perpetrators.

Ahmeti: We should make a good decision and soon there will be a definite result

Skopje, 16 February, 2017 - 21:05 (META)

We should make a good and solid decision, and each reaction could have fatal consequences, announced today DUI’s party leader Ali Ahmeti, after the celebrations of the 16th anniversary of the armed conflict in 2001.

Ahmeti said that the party is making all sorts of analyses, but they won’t result in a bombastic solution, but it’s about certain issues that refer to the interests of the Albanians and their legal and political status.

-I think that any quick reaction might have fatal consequences. DUI has never been a subject that has caused any problems, but on contrary, it has provided solutions. I think there will be a result soon and a definite answer. We should make a good and solid decision – said Ahmeti.

Shilegov: Gruevski is creating a crisis to avoid prosecution and prison

Skopje, 16 February, 2017 - 17:25 (META)

At this stage, we are talking about the mandate for forming a government. We are not talking about the personnel, neither about the form or type of Government, and whether such an agreement will be reached, said the spokesperson for SDSM, Petre Shilegov when asked whether SDSM had received a draft-law about the use of languages from the Albanian parties.

When asked if VMRO-DPMNE were to be the opposition, does SDSM expect them to cause incidents or riots in the country, Shilegov replied that Macedonia is calm, stable and a democratic state.

“The essence of the crisis which the Republic of Macedonia finds itself in, is the fall of the government, which is solely criminal and criminogenic. Deep within this crisis that VMRO-DPMNE wants to present, is a certain type of crisis and a conspiracy that the whole world is against Macedonia, and here lies the effort of Nikola Gruevski and the criminal leadership to save themselves from their own fate, which obviously as soon as there will be favorable conditions for normal trials, he will be located in the correctional facilities of the Republic of Macedonia”, said Shilegov.

He added that he doesn’t expect any reactions from the Anti Corruption Committee regarding the mortgage of VMRO-DPMNE’s building because all regulatory bodies are completely occupied by party officials.

“When it comes to all the scandals that surfaced about high-ranking officials in the Republic of Macedonia in the recent period, the Anti Corruption Committee has remained mute, even when all of the journalists weren’t allowed to ask Nikola Gruevski any questions, which is why at the end of the day it is irrelevant whether the Anti Corruption Committee will start an inquiry”, said Shilegov.

SDSM calls Jolevski to reveal the conversation he had with Congressman Rohrabacher

Skopje, 16 February, 2017 - 15:55 (META)

The Minister of Defense from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE, Zoran Jolevski has to explain what was discussed during his meeting with the American Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and whether the meeting was instigated because of the Congressman’s controversial statements about the partition of Macedonia, said today SDSM’s spokesperson, Petre Shilegov at a press conference.

He stressed that it is inadmissible that a Minister of Defense should be using privileges in order to organize private trips and meetings around the world, and after that statements that Macedonia will fall apart to start circulating.

Yesterday, the Prizma portal published that the Ministry of Defense had confirmed for BIRN that Jolevski on the 2nd of February had  met with Congressman Dana Rohrabacher during his visit to the USA.

A few days later, on the 6th of February, the American Congressman, who is also a Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia, in an interview for the Albanian television “Vizion Plus” stated that “Macedonia is not a country” and that it should be divided between Kosovo and Bulgaria.

Skopje, 13 February, 2017 - 10:22 (META)

According to all indications, Šilegov is the new Radmila Šekjeriska who is known to be renting apartments to herself for 5000 euros – said VMRO-DPMNE’s press release.

Shilegov: We are working on finding a solution, soon we will have a government

Skopje, 4 February, 2017 - 17:38 (META)

SDSM is completely devoted to finding a quick and efficient solution for forming a new government of the Republic of Macedonia, announced today SDSM’s spokesperson, Petre Shilegov, while answering a question whether an agreement can be expected soon about a parliamentary majority.

Regarding the statement by DUI’s spokesperson, Bujar Osmani that without an agreement for a government there won’t be any signatures, Shilegov said that all political subjects that are involved in the post-election process have to be conscious of the condition that the Republic of Macedonia is in and bear the responsibility of their decisions.

“All subjects have to be aware of the complexity of the task and the challenges that are in front of the Republic of Macedonia, and to make appropriate decisions concerning that situation, said Shilegov.

Yet, he didn’t reveal whether they are negotiating with DUI or when a meeting between Zaev and Ahmeti can be expected.

“Have patience, and the moment when certain information will be mature for sharing, we will inform you. We wouldn’t want to speculate with information because it would additionally cause confusion among the general public”, said Shilegov, adding that when the mandate will be approved, Zaev will announce SDSM’s opinion about the platform announced by the Albanian parties.

He announced that the Anticorruption commission and the Directorate for financial intelligence must not be an instrument of the VMRO-DPMNE’s leader, Nikola Gruevski and his associates, who for their personal interests want to clash with the democratic public.

-We are saying to all public institutions not to give in to pressures that Nikola Gruevski is trying to impose during the last days of VMRO-DPMNE. Nikola Gruevski and the criminal authorities are already a past. The majority of citizens of Macedonia have asked for changes. New and responsible government for the citizens of Macedonia is coming. All who have worked against the interest of the citizens or were accomplices of the regime in their illegal and unprofessional activities will be held responsible – stressed Shilegov

Shilegov: In Tearce, we won 170 votes more than during the elections on the 11th of December

Tetovo, 25 December, 2016 - 23:38 (META)

In Tearce, SDSM won 170 votes more than on the elections on the 11th of December, but the voting here was more symbolic, said SDSM’s spokesman and list carrier of the coalition in the 6th electoral district, Petre Shilegov this evening in Tearce.

– I can say with great pride, that the citizens of Tearce voted for changes, for life in Macedonia regardless of the pressures. They went to vote bravely and with dignity, and they said that it’s enough and that they demand a responsible government that will respond to the needs of the citizens. We are going to obey the message issued by the people of Tearce and that means there will be a responsible government that will introduce changes and there will be institutions which will suit the needs of the citizens. The voting here had more of a symbolic nature. The next government will be led by SDSM – said Shilegov.

As a response to a question posted by a journalist what was his opinion about VMRO-DPMNE declaring a victory, Shilegov responded that “Gruevski has said something many times and then had to say the otherwise” and that the voice of Gruevski was a past.

He added that in Macedonia there is no political crisis, but a criminal crisis with the structures in the government.

Janeva: You Have Kept Me Here Deliberately For Three Days So I Can Not Work

Skopje, 23 September, 2016 - 16:26 (META)

The Committee began their review of the report on the work of the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, where MPs questioned the Special Public Prosecutor, Katica Janeva.

“You have kept me here for three days deliberately and will not let me work. For three days I have sat here and answered the same questions. You are deliberately keeping me here so that I can not work”, Special Public Prosecutor Katica Janeva told MP Krste Mukoski, who told her that she was incompetent and does not know how to run her operation.

Mukoski said that Janeva is obliged to provide a financial report and that in the past two days told everyone that she should not be there and that she should either apologize or resign.

“We want to know what you have spent the money on and we require a full financial report. We are talking about the Priebe report here, because in your 15-pages, there is nothing to discuss”, said Mukoski.

Janeva told Mukoski that all obstructions that the SPO has had to deal with concern the “Putsch” case.

To this, Mukoski apologized to citizens, because over a year ago, he had voted for the formation of the SPO.

Tuesday’s session was interrupted because of Janeva fell ill, but today she is again among MPs.

At the session of the Committee on Political Systems and Inter-Ethnic Relations, the State Public Prosecutor, Marko Zvrlevski was present.

Before the session, MPs Petre Shilegov from the SDSM and Ilija Dimovski from the VMRO DPMNE condemned yesterday’s attacks and montages of photos of female parliamentary colleagues.

Shilegov: Gruevski is lying and does not want to negotiate

Skopje, 14 June, 2016 - 13:27 (META)

The political parties continue to delay in agreeing to a meeting of party leaders by adopting tactical positions. This proposed new meeting should involve the taking of steps to finding a solution for the political crisis, so the parties, together, can eventually come to an agreement whereby a new deadline date can be set for new elections.

In this regard, the latest statements from the various political parties, ranging from “we must start” through too “there is no need for a meeting” and, as usual, Brussels merely expresses hope, all that aside, by the end of the week, a meeting should be arranged.

In the absence of any real information, the situation boils down to key issues, whether to negotiate about negotiations to hold a leaders’ meeting, who will mediate such a meeting, and what format would any such meeting take place, however, the parties continue to try and outwit each other while at the same time insulting each other.

At the moment, this is how political parties stand:

VMRO-DPMNE: The party says it would participate in such a meeting of political leaders, however , beforehand, they would insist on knowing what topics would be on the agenda for the meeting.

Nikola Gruevski: “So far no one has contacted us concerning a leaders’ meeting. We would accept, but it is a good idea to have prior agreements and arrangements regarding topics of the meeting because it is in the interest of citizens that meetings of political leaders are thoroughly prepared with an agenda and with a list of topics, especially, because we are always being the one’s blamed if the meeting should fail”, said Gruevski.

SDSM: We must start with negotiations and arrangments for the conditions, so that fair and democratic elections can be held in Autumn.

Petre Shilegov: “Nikola Gruevski and the VMRO-DPMNE as before, are not interested in talks. Gruevski is lying and does not want to negotiate. He does not want to negotiate because he does not want to create conditions for free and fair elections. The current situation in the country is inconvenient for Gruevski”.

DPA: A leader’s meeting has nothing to offer the political crisis, and such a meeting would be frivolous.

Menduh Tachi: “I believe the solution for this crisis can be found in an agreement between Macedonians and Albanians, which is a part of the DPA platform. If we do not sit down and seriously discuss the real issues and problems, the DPA may walk away from any type of negotiation process to resolve the political crisis”.

DUI: A meeting of all political leaders should take place because it is in the interest of the citizens, as for fair elections, we must first create the correct political environment.

Brussels: The EU delegation are in constant contact with the parties and we hope that they can come to an agreement and meet this week.
