Nikola Gruevski must not threaten with violence because that is unconstitutional and an act that is punishable by law, said SDSM in its morning announcement. The party stresses that the new president of the Parliament will be elected very quickly, and then “a new reformatory government of Unitarian Macedonia, in accordance with the Rulebook, the Constitution and the laws of Republic of Macedonia.”
“Gruevski is not the people. He is not a factor. The citizens are a factor, and they chose unity, justice, and changes, and they will have to happen. A peaceful transfer of power is a top state interest both for the citizens and for Macedonia! Anyone who will try to hinder the will of the majority and to act contrary to the state interests will be facing with his own responsibility” said SDSM’s announcement.
They say that Gruevski has “an interest in destabilizing the country because he hopes this way he will avoid responsibility for his own crimes.”
“We are indicating the institutions and its employees that there is a new parliamentary majority and that they are obliged to allow the democratic processes in accordance with the will of the majority of citizens. Nikola Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE are in the opposition,” said SDSM.
