The President of SDSM Zoran Zaev in an interview with “Al Jazeera, Balkan” said that there was no chance that the opposition will participate in elections on April 24.
“There are two key reasons for this announcement. Firstly the electoral list has not been cleansed and on the list you can find dead voters or voters who have been reported twice, and according to information available to the opposition, there are more than 100,000 or 12 percent of these inconsistencies. Elections can be won by just a few percent of voters and that is why the opposition will not agree to participate in elections on April 24. The cleansing of the voter list takes more than a hundred days, which means that the elections should be held at the beginning of the summer. We hope that we won’t have to boycott the elections. Even a young child knows that the conditions for fair and free elections can not be met on April 24 – because of the cleansing of the voters’ list and the regulation of the media. However, if there are elections on April 24, the opposition certainly has no intention of watching them on TV”, said Zaev.
The host Mirjana Hrga said that VMRO-DPMNE again refused to participate in the program even though she had persistently requested their participation for several days and waited for a response from the party.
“Today something happened to me, which hasn’t happened to me in my 20 year long career. The party spokesman who is in charge of this sort work, to answer my call, when he heard who was calling, he no longer took my calls or called me. These are difficult conditions to compare arguments”, said Hrga
