Customs denies: We do not procure equipment for wiretapping

Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia today denied that it procures equipment for wiretapping.

“Regarding the information about the alleged procurement of equipment for wiretapping or for conducting special investigative measures mentioned in some media, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia informs that equipment for wiretapping is not currently procured nor procurement of such equipment is not included in the plans for the next three years, which have been prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Macedonia,” reads the statement.
