The Steering Committee, who have the highest authority regarding the refugee crisis, at a closed session last night came to a decision regarding the numbers of refugees in Macedonia. They have decided, to let the same amount of refugees in at the border-crossing Bogorodica, and to let the same amount of refugees out at the border-crossing Tabanovce.

The session, was chaired by Health Minister Nikola Todorov, and was attended by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Vlado Misajlovski, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, Defence Minister Zoran Jolevski and the Director of the Centre for Crisis Management, Suzana Saliu.
The government body came to the conclusion that Macedonia needs to monitor the behaviour of the Balkan countries regarding illegal entry by migrants, and from that information to make decisions.
Also, at the meeting it was decided to strengthen health control at the refugee camps, especially after the problem with Afghan nationals occurred. As they are stranded at the northern camp, it is unknown how long they will be staying, so health control is definitely an issue.

Since the beginning of this year until yesterday, a total of 86,462 foreign nationals have passed through Macedonia.
