American Ambassador Jess Baily today clarified that the reforms to the media are part of the Przhino Agreement and part of the urgent European reforms for Macedonia.

“It’s on the table before the elections and after the elections, it is not something that will happen overnight. In this respect it is very important that during the elections, how you as reporters and news organizations will cover the election. You yourselves committed to the code of ethical reporting during the election and the monitoring of this code of ethical reporting will really make a difference in terms of the citizens of Macedonia, they need to hear all opinions and to be fully informed and to make their own choice during elections”, said Bailey, reminding everyone of the joint statement issued last night by US and the EU.

The US Ambassador today along with Defence Minister Zoran Jolevski opened an exhibition “The American Red Cross in Macedonia during the First World War.”
