Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced the proposed names of new ministers as part of the government reshuffle that was submitted yesterday at the Parliament.
Zaev announced that he will propose Trajan Dimkovski as the new Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, who works in this ministry and was part of the former Minister Ljupco Nikolovski’s team.
Naser Nuredini was proposed as the new Minister of Environment and Urban Planning, Husni Ismaili as the new Minister of Culture, Goran Milevski as the Minister of Local Self-Government, and Sadula Duraku as Minister of Political Systems and Relations among Communities.
Prime Minister Zaev informed the media that he will take on the duties of the Minister of Finance and that he will be doing this during a limited time, parallel to his duties as a prime minister.
In his statement for the media, Prime Minister Zaev thanked the ministers that worked in the service of the citizens and the state: the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Ljupco Nikolovski; the Minister of Culture, Asaf Ademi;, the Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski; the Minister of Local Self-Government, Suhejl Fazliu; Minister without portfolio for implementation of the Framework Agreement and Political Systems, Hazbi Lika; and the Minister without portfolio in charge of the regulations for improvement of the investment climate for the domestic companies, Zoran Shapuric.
With the proposed reconstruction, the new Government cabinet have one ministerial position less.
“We proclaimed this year as the Year of the economy. We are heading in this direction with all our efforts. Tevdovski remains close to me, most probably as an advisor. He is member of SDSM’s Executive Board. What follows are brave solutions, brave decisions that will benefit all citizens. It will benefit the social care, the agriculture, the salaries”, said Zaev.
The Prime Minister announced the priorities for the financial and economic policies and stressed that the budget’s amendments will be made by the beginning of autumn.
Zaev also informed that by next week the remaining personnel changes will be announced in the institutions of the executive government in order for the process to finish by the end of this month.
