All parties have submitted methodologies to the SEC for the cleansing of the electoral list, which means that the opposition has accepted the cleansing methodology proposed by the SEC.
After the SEC formally adopts the methodology, they can start the procedure for renewing the voters’ list.
“Meta” has learnt that the session to adopt the methodology of the SEC maybe held as soon as tonight.
According to this methodology, the voters’ list will be revised in several stages. The procedure begins by comparing the current situation of the list from the data from the last election. In the next phase, they will be doing cross-checks between the databases of 10 different institutions. The third phase will be carried out with random spot checks in places where the data will not match.
