SEC: Elections will cost 7.5 million euros

-

The SEC will need seven and a half million euros (456.664 million denars) budget to implement electoral activities. This was voted last night by the members of the Commission, which adopted the financial plan for the allocation of funds for early parliamentary elections.

Most of the funding, or 40 million denars, will be used for printing papers, forms, records and guidelines.

For stamps, UV lamps, sprays, safety strips and panels, the budget is 9.2 million denars, transportation will cost 9 million denars, the printing of the voters’ list will cost 4 million denars, the transportation of members from the electoral boards of the SEC on polling day will cost 25 million denars, while the transport of confidential and non-confidential material will cost 7 million denars.

The SEC did not accept the electoral list from the Ministry of Interior, which had only been signed by the additional deputy minister Mitko Chavkov, because it was not in the required format, and the data could not be compared. The MOI will have to provide another list in the requested format.

The meeting was not attended by Violeta Duma, Igor Milev, members of the SEC proposed by the SDSM.
