A general agreement on a leadership level was reached, for the parties of the Coalition led by SDSM to stand behind a joint candidate for a president of the state and for joint campaigning at the forthcoming presidential elections, starting from the first round, informs the party.
“It was agreed that wider consultations within the parties themselves to continue, that are part of the coalition, for the selection of the most appropriate joint candidate for the country’s president. SDSM’s President, Zoran Zaev, in the name of the Coalition, will continue the consultations with the parties of the Albanian block of the government’s coalition, including other parliamentary and nonparliamentary parties, from the government and the opposition, for the possibility of finding a joint candidate for a president of the state, a candidate that will be supported by the citizens” said the press release.
