Today will be the last of the rounds of talks between the Action groups towards implementing the Przhino Agreement. The participants will take a vacation until August 17. The Belgian expert Peter van Haute who facilitates the talks, is also going to be absent for a vacation.
Yesterday, the Action groups could not agree on anything regarding the special public prosecutor. Today, they will talk again about the electoral model.
Yesterday’s meeting, the team of SDSM was comprised of Radmila Shekerinska, Oliver Spasovski and Renata Treneska-Deskoska. VMRO-DPMNE was represented by their standard duo, Nikola Poposki and Nikola Todorov. DUI’s interests are defended by Musa Dzaferi and Artan Grupi. Imer Aliu is the representative of DPA.
This time, besides the representatives of OSCE and the Mission of the EU in Macedonia, were also present the President of the International Commission of Prosecutors and member of the Venice Commission, James Hamilton, who, it is said, will present concrete experiences and examples in the election of a special prosecutor.
The special prosecutor who will enjoy complete autonomy, needs to be selected by September 15.
