Protests against police brutality are announced in several cities for today. Citizens organize themselves in Shtip, Ohrid, Kumanovo, Kavadarci, Strumica, Prilep, Bitola and Skopje.

Everywhere will be protested against police brutality, demanding clarification of the murder of Martin Neshkovski and for a new investigation into the accident in which Nikola Mladenov was killed.

Protesters nowadays are also considering changing the method of the protests. According to our information, it is possible to block the streets in the center of Skopje and, with the so-called “silent disco”, to demonstrate humility and non-violence.

At yesterday’s protests, candy and flowers were given to the police.

“After Sunday’s events, the disclosure of recordings confirming concealment of the murder of Martin Neshkovski by the government, and protest in Skopje, Ohrid also joined the protests against police brutality! Ohrid proudly stands next to Skopje, Bitola, Prilep, Strumica, Kumanovo and Kavadarci, all in solidarity for a better tomorrow!” reads the announcement posted on Facebook.

They call upon the citizens of Ohrid to go out in large number.

“Dear citizens of Ohrid, the movement “Stop police brutality” is not a centralized movement and is a complete horizontal structure. We are the movement! Therefore, we do not have the capacity to manage and to cater for the tone and language on the events. Here we see a lot of anger and speculation. Don’t fall for the anger of those who profit from the current situation and want to protect it. We are here with one goal, better tomorrow for us and our children. As long as there is a desire to be on the streets and to demand justice, it should be so! Bravely, Ohrid – reads the Facebook profile of the movement “Stop police brutality.”
