MP’s passed the bill for law for the Special Public Prosecutor

With 111 votes “for” out of the 114 MP’s who attended, the Law on Public Prosecution and related offenses arising from the content of the illegal interception of communications was voted in. The bill was finally passed.
At the plenary session who gave their own presentations were MPs Petre Shilegov, Ilija Dimovski, Pavle Trajanov, Solza Grcheva, Rosa Topuzova Karevska, Bekim Fazliu, Ljiljana Popovska, Talat Xhaferi.

 Working group members for lawmakers expressed their satisfaction that finally the country could now turn a new leaf and start an investigation on the mass surveillance conducted against MP’s and other unsuspecting members of the public.
MP’s Solza Grcheva and Rosa Topuzova Karevska said they were not satisfied with the bill.  According to them, the new bill it will not change anything.

Soon  the Commission for Elections and Appointment  will  offer Katica Janeva the position of Special Prosecutor. If the committee members accept, it will be submitted to the MP’s in the plenary should confirm and recommend to the Council of Public Prosecutors to choose Katica Janeva Special public prosecutor.
