Additional Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management who resigned, Ljupco Nikolovski, today announced that they have discovered a scandal involving the project known as “Japanese aid.” It is a fund in the amount of $ 12 million, supported by the Government of Japan.
“The documents which I published today show that the Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, rather than use the benefit of interest-free loans to farmers for the purchase of tractors, they misused the money from the fund, and crippled the farmers . This report by the Committee on the Management of Aid from the Japanese government shows that the firm “Factor-Consulting”, received 3 million denars from the bank account of the compensation fund (or approximately 50,000 euros) for a monthly flat rate and the debt. Furthermore, from the same account, 9 million denars (around 150,-000 euros) were withdrawn, money for which the Commission concluded that the ministry will cover and explain, how and why they were withdrawn from the organization. Minister Tsvetkov, on September 30, 2015, was informed in a written letter”, said Nikolovski.
The Additional Deputy Minister demanded an explanation on how someone withdrew hundred of thousands of euros from the Treasury which is designed for collecting foreign aid for agricultural development, without being uncovered.
