North Macedonia’s Ministry of Health informs that in the last 24 hours out of 1 612 tests for COVID-19, 164 persons tested positive. The distribution of the new cases by cities is as follows: Skopje 59, Sveti Nikole 23, Debar 18, Shtip 17, Kumanovo 12, Gostivar 9, Tetovo, Kichevo and Struga 6 each, Kavadarci and Probishtip 2 each, and Bitola, Demir Hisar and Resen 1 each.
The Institute for Public Health reported 74 recoveries in the last 24 hours. In the same period, five people died. In the Skopje City Hospital “8 Septemvri” (8th of September), two patients passed away, aged 35 and 65. In the Clinical Hospital in Bitola 70-year old patient from Resen died and in the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo a 51-year old patient passed away. The fifth death from the newest toll of COVID-19 is that of a 77-year old patient, who died while not under hospital care.
The total number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the epidemic in North Macedonia is 8 786, the number of patients who recovered: 4 676 and the death toll climbed to 406. North Macedonia now has 3 704 active cases of COVID-19.
