MOI: The migrant situation on the southern and the northern border is stable

The situation with the flow of migrants to the northern border, in the Refugee Centre in Tabanovce is calm at the moment, and in the last 24 hours at the border a total of 2.715 migrants arrived in Serbia, announced the Ministry of Interior (MOI) today.

The Interior Ministry announced that from midnight to 8:00 am this morning, at Tabanovce, the northern border, 45 people arrived and 12 certificates for asylum were issued. The camp currently has 280 migrants.

The situation is stable on the southern border near Gevgelija and at the reception refugee camp, according to the Interior Ministry.

“Currently there are 500 people in the camp, waiting to leave, and the Greek side has approximately 2,000 people. Please note that these numbers are constantly changing”, reads the statement from the Ministry of Interior.
