In the period 20 – 29 July, in Giffoni Valle Piana in Italy, the 53-rd edition of the Giffoni Film Festival will take place, which is the largest film festival for children and youth in the world. Among the 6500 participants from around thirty countries, Macedonia is present again with the largest delegation: ten representatives within the age range 14 to 19 years old were selected from the most active participants of the last edition of the film festival for youth Giffoni Macedonia.
The festival’s programme organization in the country reports that in the following ten days, Kalina, Bisera, Maksim, Jovan, Bojana, Ceis, Damjan, Leticija, Lina and Teo will be part of the large international jury watching the latest films from the world’s film production for children and youth and selecting the best films for this year.
Apart from the films, numerous other activities have been organized for the young participants such as meetings with directors, producers and actors as well as a versatile music programme.
Giffoni Film Festival takes place every year in July as a central event giving recognition to numerous activities of the great Giffoni family organized throughout the whole year all over the world.
The eleventh edition of the festival – Giffoni Macedonia, as a proud family member of the only festival outside Italy bearing that name- will be organized in October securing, yet again, a unique film experience for approximately 600 participants from Macedonia and abroad, informed from Giffoni Macedonia.
