Early this morning, our colleague Vlado Gjorcev, journalist and editor at the news agency “Meta” suddenly passed away.
He was part of the “Meta’s” editorial staff and at the same time, he was an active contributor at the “Media Fact Checking Service” and the “Truthmeter” services.
Gjorchev was a renowned journalist and editor and had worked for various media outlets such as “Vecer,” “Vreme“, “Spic”, “Plus Info” and “Libertas”.
Recently, Gjorchev was awarded second in the bid for the best journalist story on the subject of corruption, which was a part of USAID’s Anticorruption program.
Meta News Agency including the media scene in Macedonia has been left without an outstanding editor, journalist, tireless writer, and friend.
His remains will be placed in the chapel at the Gjorce Petrov graveyard tomorrow at noon, while the burial will begin at 13h.
