Maja Ivanova, wife of President Gjorgje Ivanov, at Crans Montana Forum, addressed a special session of the Forum of African women, whose focus this year is the implementation of gender equality, women in public life and in the private sector and improvement of the educational system for girls.
– The woman in the Republic of Macedonia is increasingly present not only in public, but in the private sector as well. Understanding market conditions, successful women managers bring their creativity and promote successful social responsibility concepts in doing business. My country took many important steps and concrete measures to improve the social role of women. On the path of the changes, in each segment of my work, I support projects that promote the participation and position of women in social trends and improving social development. As a sponsor, but also as an active participant, through engagement of all types of available social resources, I try to help achieve as more as possible for this purpose – said Ivanova.
