How did camera’s record Spasov, and not the “Monster” case, Mladenov and Neshkovski?

-

Even though the investigation into the events of last Friday evening put additional Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dime Spasov into the spotlight, today, more questions have arisen over whether the cameras from the so-called project “Safe City” are operational on the streets of Skopje.

At today’s press conference, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, and the “exclusive footage” released by “Sitel” TV, show that cameras which record the streets of Skopje are operational and they record everything. According to Spasovski the photos were taken from the CCTV system “Safe City”.

The footage released by “Sitel” TV show that it could not be recorded elsewhere, apart from cameras placed on the streets.

The project “Safe City” was launched on May 7, 2012, on the Day of Police, even though the cameras were placed on the street almost two years earlier. The promotion of the project was attended by the former Directors of the Interior Ministry, UBK and the PSB, Gordana Jankuloska, Saso Mijalkov and Ljupco Todorovski.

However, several events have attracted enormous public attention, although the cameras of “Safe City”, were set-up on the streets, according to the claims of the leadership of the Interior Ministry, they did not work at the time and could not help in investigations.

“Monster” case

For the “Monster” case, namely the murder of five people at Smiljkovsko Lake in April 12, 2012, the then Minister of Interior, Gordana Jankuloska at the promotion of the “Safe City” system on May 7, 2012 said that the cameras did not work.

Nikola Mladenov’s car accident

The cameras at the pay tolls which Mladenov drove through on the sinister night between the 26th and 27th of March 2013, did not worked, nor did any of the cameras work at the entrance to Skopje, near Cento.

The murder of Martin Neshkovski on June 5, 2011

According to the statement released by the Interior Ministry, the cameras of the “Safe City” system which were placed in the city square on the evening when Martin Neshkovski was killed did not work and were not recording, also, the cameras did not work at MEPSO, due to a malfunction.

Many people took to commenting on “Twitter” about the camera’s and the exclusive footage from “Sitel” TV. Here are just some of them:
