Measuring stations for air quality today showed that residents of Tetovo, Kicevo, Skopje and Veles today are breathing polluted air, with high concentrations of PM10.
According to measurements carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning today the most polluted city in Macedonia is Tetovo, where the concentration of PM10 particles was measured at 163 micro-grams per cubic metre, and right behind Tetovo is Kicevo at 161 micro-grams per cubic metre. The highest pollution rates in Skopje is in the Municipality of the Centre where the concentration of PM10 particles was 157 micro-grams per cubic meter, followed by 146 in Gazi Baba, Karpos with 139, and Lisiche with 122, while Rector concentration of PM10 particles was 107 micro-grams per cubic meter.
Veles is measured at 80 micro-grams per cubic metre PM10 particles.
