The special envoy from the German Foreign Ministry of Macedonia, Johannes Haindl tomorrow will pay a two-day visit to Macedonia, announced today the German Embassy in Skopje.
Johannes Haindl , who is also German Ambassador to Austria, during his visit to Macedonia, he will meet with the four signatories of the Przhino Agreement, and with the US ambassador and other ambassadors of EU countries.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, last week repeated his concern over the political situation in Macedonia and then appointed Haindl to help find a way out of the standstill, which began after the President granted of politicians and their associates.
“Ambassador Haindl will cooperate with the European Commission and the United States and other partners to support them in their mediation in overcoming the internal political crisis”. said German Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer, at last week’s press conference in Berlin.
Haindl is considered a “heavyweight” in the German Foreign Ministry and an expert on the Balkans, given that he was head of the department for the Western Balkans.
