Gruevski: With Zaev it will be like the “Rumble in the Jungle” and “Rope a Dope”

-

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said in an interview with the portal “Press 24” he’s making an analogy of the legendary boxing match between Mohammed Ali and George Foreman and his battle with opposition leader Zoran Zaev. Gruevski says he feels motivated by his opponent like Foreman with Ali.

“Do you remember the famous “Rumble in the jungle” (Rumble in the Jungle), the most famous battle between Cassius Clay, or Ali Mohammed as he was known after he changed his name and for the rest of his entire career. It was a long time ago. Nobody then expected that Ali would beat George Foreman because of the willingness and readiness of his opponent or, in this case, his opponents, however, in the end, he won.
That fact that Mohammed Ali managed to outwit his opponent and psychologically beat his opponent. The opponent of Ali, Foreman, had made an error of judgement in what steps Ali would take and how Ali would fight. Foreman, at the beginning hit and hit and Ali allowed it, round after round. Ali let Foreman keep throwing punches, “Rope a Dope” (rope a dope) his strategy was later dubbed, and it happened, in the eighth round George Foreman was beginning to get tired, and then Ali began. From what I remember it ended with a knockout, Foreman was declassified. Now, everyone wondered in the first eight rounds why Ali fought the way he did, people thought the match was fixed, they thought Ali was weakened, but the truth was that Ali had a strategy and behaved differently from what his opponent had first profiled him. The eighth round with Zaev is yet to come, and the final blow will come on April 24”, said PM Gruevski.
