SDSM should learn that the choice of ministers and government is only possible on the elections with the support of the majority of the people, for it is the essence of democracy, said the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski today, answering a reporter’s question about the writings of the media close to the opposition that technical government will be agreed in which he will not be a prime minister, and that an executive commission will be created, which will function as a government.
– I carefully follow all these speculations, produced by SDSM and media close to them and sometimes I am surprised by their way of placing speculation and the creation of unrealistic ambitions and unrealistic expectations. I think on how to respond. If my answer is very serious someone could think that there is some truth in terms of creating a transitional government where ministers and the prime minister will be chosen by SDSM. If I answer with only a smile I can be misunderstood and therefore I will say that SDSM should learn that they will be able to choose ministers and prime minister when they win on the elections and when they get the support of the majority of citizens of the Republic of Macedonia. Until then they will not have any opportunity for ministers nor the prime minister in the government, because they lack the necessary confidence from the majority of citizens. That is the main thing in a democracy – said Gruevski.
Asked whether he considers, as a possible compromise, early elections which could be held after the New Year, the Prime Minister said that so far he has not planned something like that.
