Gruevski’s cabinet has spent 38 million euros on campaigns and propaganda

-

The cabinet of the former Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski, during the period between 2008 and 2015 spent 38 million of euros from the budget, on campaigns that were broadcast on television and electronic media, informed today at a press conference, the governments spokesperson Mile Boshnjakovski.

He also said that this sum doesn’t include the expenditures from the campaigns led in 2006, 2007 and part of 20016, as there were some documents missing from these years.

The money, as Boshnjakovski informed, were spent on campaigns such as “Third Child,” “Abortus Prevention,” “Explore Macedonia” and “Ideas Day” etc.

“The amount of 38 million of euros was spent exclusively by the former Prime Minister’s cabinet. This amount does not include expenditures from campaigns that were spent by various ministries. Almost 15 million of euros were spent on several marketing agencies for campaign productions. For investigating public opinion were spent 200.000 euros, but that number is not definite. For purchasing an advertising space in electronic media, 23 million of euros were spent”, said Boshnjakovski.

He also said that there was no criterion for allocation of funds for the purchase of advertising space.
