Gruevski does not recognize the elections and demands new early parliamentary elections

-

Last night, VMRO-DPMNE leader, Nikola Gruevski said that his party did not recognize the local elections, where there had been numerous irregularities, attempts to make a “Bulgarian train”, physical intimidation on farmers, and the administrative sector.

“VMRO-DPMNE does not recognize these elections and will never consider them as fair and democratic. In addition to not recognizing them, we urgently call for the immediate return of democracy to the country, organizing early parliamentary elections according to the Pržino model, organized by the technocratic government”, said Gruevski.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE also requested that the director of AAVMU (Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services) be replaced, the resignation of the president of the SEC, an investigation and the expertise regarding the devices for listening at UBK, the completion of the trial for the “Bribe” case, the establishment of a special prosecutor’s office that will conduct an investigation into the electoral irregularities in the 2016 and 2017 elections, as well as the release of all individuals who were charged in connection with the events which took place on April 27th.

Gruevski said that the entire election campaign was a sign of organizing criminal elections, that is, SDSM had been pressuring potential VMRO-DPMNE candidates even before the elections, but also, by bringing criminal charges against current mayors who were running for another term in office. He noted that in the course of the election day, there had been cases where, not only did the police not react, but in some cases, agitated certain situations.
