DUI: Now is time to resolve the name dispute while Macedonia has a transitional government

-

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti’s visit to Athens was confirmed by Greek Officials that the meeting will be a party visit, as well as a private meeting, similar to Nikola Poposki’s visit, say DUI party officials. They also said that this is not the first meeting between the DUI leader, and the Greek Foreign Minister.

“At tomorrows meeting, topics of discussion will include the name dispute and specific ideas. In the next period, while Macedonia has a transitional Government, is the best time to resolve the name dispute”, said a statement from DUI.

Ahmeti, Xhaferi and Besimi will not be at the meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister in the capacity as government officials, said the Minister of Foreign Ministry to “Meta” the day before yesterday.

The MFA said that it was a party meeting and that the government coalition partner did not coordinate with the Foreign Ministry about the topic of the talks.

Greek sources have told “Meta”, that Ahmeti’s visit is of his own accord and initiative, and are part of his efforts to maintain contacts with the International Community.

Our sources say that this meeting is not a message from the Greek Government nor was it their initiative and all the key issue were already discussed with Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki.
