Who performed the coup in the strike of SONK is the main dilemma of Bitola teachers after the cessation of the strike. Teachers from technical high school “Gjorgi Naumov” in Bitola, who were united from the first day of the strike, are today revolted because of the unanswered questions by SONK. Why did SONK end the strike, and strikers found out about that decision from TV?
– We experience the cessation of the strike as a coup or, simply, we feel played because we were not at all familiar with the decision of SONK that classes would continue today. How can we find out for the cessation of the strike from television? Unionists of SONK convinced us that the core would be informed for any decision, and then, if it agrees, further steps would be taken. How is it that now suddenly we are not important and no one informs us about the cessation? Is this fair to us? – say teachers from Bitola.

– At 8 am, all unions of Bitola were called and an agreement between SONK and MES was submitted to them, specifying certain conditions that enhance the bargaining power of SONK – says Fanche Joshevska, head of Bitola regional office of SONK.
