At this year’s E-Society conference, learn more about the existing e-services in North Macedonia and the region

There is not enough knowledge about North Macedonia’s Digital Agenda and there is even less knowledge about the available e-services that the institutions offer to the citizens. As witnesses of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we can notice that the approach toward a digital transformation is more than a necessary step for better functioning of the society and we can see that many governments throughout the world, including the Western Balkans governments, instigated by the pandemic, have started creating new or improved versions of existing digital tools and e-services.

This was the general conclusion in the Report on the current condition and a guide for the promotion of North Macedonia’s Digital agenda that Metamorphosis Foundation prepared as part of the “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA” project which is financially supported by the European Union.

The session “Localizing the Western Balkans agenda” that will take place on the 25th of November and  which is part of the 16th edition of the E-society’s conference titled “Inclusion and Effectiveness – Good Governance and the Internet,” willl be a discussion about the existing e-services and the measures taken to increase their number and usage in North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia.

The speakers will emphasize the importance of good governance and the role of the digital agenda in the advancement of democracy and empowering the citizens. Stress will be put on the ongoing processes and efforts needed to create the right conditions for digital networks and services to yield the desired results.
