The Association of Journalists of Macedonia will protest on September 1, the date set for the first hearing of journalist Zoran Bozinovski, who stands accused in the “Spy” case, in front of the Basic Court Skopje 1,

“On August 22, the board of the AJM passed a motion that on September 1 we will organize a protest in front of the Basic Court Skopje 1 C, when it is expected that journalist Zoran Bozinovski will face his first hearing”, wrote the President of the AJM Naser Selmani, on his “Facebook” profile.

He also informed the International Federation of Journalists with a letter addressed to the President and the Public Prosecutor which calls for the immediate and unconditional release of Zoran Bozinovski.

“The AJM has requested support for Bozinovski from international and European organizations and institutions. If anyone thinks that they will sentence a journalist in Macedonia with imprisonment, and the national and European public will not know about it, they’re clearly in denial. It will a subject that will not be able to be avoided, regardless of who is in power!” Wrote Selmani.
