NBM has downgraded the projection of the economic growth from 3.2 to 2.3 %

-

The National Bank has downgraded the growth projection for the Macedonian economy from 3.2 % in April to 2.3 % in November. The quickening of the growth is expected next year when it is expected to reach 3.5%, 3.8 in 2020 and 4% in 2025.

The Governor of the National Bank, Anita Angelovska Bezoska said that the correction made for 2018 is a reflection of the weaker accomplishments during the first half of the year.

-During the first half of the year, a growth of 3.3 % was predicted, and 1.6% was accomplished which came out mostly from the investments. Regarding the structure of the growth, it is expected that the domestic demand to be the main engine behind the growth with the exception of 2018 when the biggest effect will have the net export- said Angelovska Bezoska.

After the fall in 2017 and 2018, it is predicted that the investment will grow. The growth will be supported by public and foreign investments and the improved ambient for investments for domestic investors.
