The coordinator of SDSM Goran Sugareski at today’s session of parliamentary questions, asked the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, how did the former Director of SCI, Sasho Mijalkov manage to pass airport security with a gun in his bag.
The Prime Minister said that he was not responsible for what citizens transferred in their bags when leaving the country.
“Institutions need to check what all citizens are carrying when leaving Macedonia. Everything which needs to be done will be through legal proceedings. He never was, and never will be privileged. Mijalkov in a statement said he had a gun in the bag, but had carelessly forgotten that it was there, and I have nothing else to add”, said the Prime Minister and added that it is not up to him to guarantee who carries what in their bags.
Sugareski was not satisfied with the answer and told the Prime Minister not to refer to the institutions, and whether something was done out of carelessness or intentionally, the court decides, not the Prime Minister.
“The Court determines whether you did something negligently or intentionally or you are used to deciding. I do not know why you call upon the institutions … he got through security with a gun in his bag at the airport in Macedonia”, said Sugareski.
Sugareski then asked the Prime Minister on what grounds was Mijalkov issued a diplomatic on August the 29th, with an expiry of five years and is the issuance of this passport to export unverified objects in their suitcases.
“Sasho Mijalkov does not hold a diplomatic passport. He refused it. Diplomatic passports do not allow you to transmit anything in bags”, said the Prime Minister, but he did not answer on what grounds the diplomatic passport was originally issued.
