Western Balkan prime ministers to meet Kurz for working breakfast while Zaev cancels his visit

Todau in Vienna, prime ministers of the Western Balkans will have a working breakfast with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, which will be attended by European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn and European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel.

Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev canceled his participation due to internal political developments in the country.

According to information from Kurz’s cabinet, the breakfast will be attended by the head of the Serbian government, Ana Brnbic, the Albanian prime minister Edi Rama, prime minister of Montenegro, Dusko Markovic, the representative of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdic and the head of the Kosovo government , Ramush Haradinaj.

The following three topics will be discussed.

“First of all, the European perspective of the Western Balkans, which is one of the main goals of the Austrian presidency with the EU. Then, we will discuss regional co-operation and bilateral conflicts, “said Kurz’s cabinet in a statement.

The Austrian chancellor, who was staying in Belgrade and Pristina, said that the European Union would be complete only after the Western Balkan countries became members of the Union.
