VMRO-DPMNE will protest in front of the government against Edmond Temelko’s detention

-

VMRO-DPMNE will organize a protest against the decision to prolong the detention of Pustec mayor Edmond Temelko, confirmed for Meta the director of the VMRO-DPMNE’s Centar for communications, Ivo Kotevski.

The protest should start at 19h in front of the government, and then the citizens, according to information from various media, will walk to the court.

The opposition party reacted to Temelko’s detention among other issues because his health condition was deteriorating.

Yesterday, the media reported that the Criminal court has prolonged Temelko’s detention for another 30 days.

According to VMRO-DPMNE, the detention decision is a result of political pressures and there is no foundation for its prolonging. Temelko’s detention, according to the party, is turning into a punishment instead of a measure for securing the suspect’s presence.

Otherwise, the mayor of the municipality of Pustec is one of the accused of electoral irregularities, in the SPO’s “Titanic” case.

He was arrested in Skopje on the 26th of September.
