Without drawing ballots, the State Election Commission at today’s session formally confirmed that the VMRO-DPMNE will be the only party on the ballot in the early parliamentary elections on June 5.
The NDM list was officially rejected, and the SEC confirmed that the SDSM withdrew their candidate lists.
After the vote, members from DUI Subhi Jakupi , and SDSM, Violeta Duma Igor Milev reacted.
According to Jakupi, so far in Macedonian pluralism, just one list has never been submitted during elections. And Violeta Duma stressed that the SEC should consider what the situation will be if only one list is established, while Milev, in this case, says the citizens of Macedonia will have practically no choice.
Silvana Boneva from the VMRO-DPMNE said that on the confirmed list, there is not just one party, but a total of 21 and each party and every citizen under the Constitution, has the right to independently decide whether to participate, ie they can choose which elections to participate in.
