VMRO-DPMNE threatens SPO and SDSM regarding Kočan’s custody

-

“VMRO-DPMNE is closely monitoring the tendencies of SDSM’s party branch, otherwise known as the SPO, including those of Zoran Zaev and his script writers, but also the judges who are under the influence or pressure from SDSM, in the case of the attempted illegal determining of custody of the owner of  TV Nova, Sead Kočan”,  said the statement by VMRO DPMNE.

According to this political party, the case against Kočan has three clear goals.

“Firstly, pressure and if possible to close TV Nova. Secondly, sending a message and intimidating all of the media who do not think the same way as the pardoned criminal Zoran Zaev and his script writers. The third goal is to frighten representatives of all ethnic communities that don’t agree with Zoran Zaev’s policies,” said VMRO-DPMNE.

According to them, this act is an attempt to suppress democracy and the freedom of the media in Macedonia.

The party added that “VMRO-DPMNE, as a sign of protest against the attempt to suppress the media and democracy and the freedom of press, and at the same time, to threaten other media outlets, where the SPO are already torturing, will use all available political and democratic measures and steps in order to prevent SDSM’s undemocratic behavior, who are completely in power and manages and controls the SPO.”
