At 10 am, ambient air pollution in Skopje, Bitola, Kichevo, Tetovo and Veles is on a very high level. In Skopje, the level of cancerous PM10 particles is 155 micrograms per cubic meter, which is more than three times the permitted 50 micrograms.
Apart from Skopje municipalities Centar, Lisiche and Gazi Baba, very high level of PM10 particles was also registered in the measuring station Bitola-2, Kichevo, Tetovo and Veles. The instrument for measuring these particles in the Municipality of Karposh is still out of commission. At the measuring station Rektorat Bitola-1, Kochani and Kavadarci, there is a high level of PM10 particles, and an average level in Miladinovci. In Lisiche, high level of carbon monoxide is registered in the air, while high level of PM2.5 particles was registered in Centar and in Karposh.
Just like few days ago, the greatest degree of pollution was observed in the late evening hours, when in 10 pm, measuring station in Lisiche showed concentration of PM10 particles of nearly 700 micrograms per cubic meter, which is 14 times more than allowed.
