A while ago, Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Affairs accepted the proposed amendments that define marriage as a union only between a woman and a man and the constitutional amendment that refers to the establishment of international financial areas.
The Commission today is to review the eight proposed amendments to the Constitution, on which the Assembly should state its opinion at the meeting scheduled for 20th of January.
The proposed amendments which are on the agenda provide that the budget deficit should not exceed three percent of GDP, while public debt must not exceed 60 percent of GDP, then renaming the National Bank of Macedonia in the Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, the Assembly to elect and dismiss the Auditor General, the Judicial Council to be composed of 15 members, to decide on a constitutional complaint filed by a natural or legal entity, as well as that the manner of working and procedure of the Constitutional Court are regulated by a law adopted by two-thirds majority.
