At the border today, near Gevgelija has been “hermetically” closed to refugees and railway traffic.
Today, the refugees who are stranded at Idomemni, on the Greek side of the border, protested peacefully and demanded that they open the borders. At this shelter, there are 7,000-9,000 refugees from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. The area already resembles a real small town, with hundreds of tents to shelter refugees while waiting to leave Greece.
