Thaci: Przhino Agreement is Dead, another Agreement is Needed

-

The Przhino Agreement is dead, it is time for a new agreement, said DPA leader Menduh Thaci after meeting with the German special envoy to Macedonia, Johannes Hajndl at the German embassy in Skopje. He said that Ali Ahmeti’s idea of convening Parliament was a bad marketing ploy.

“We have been talking for eight days and eight nights and now am I meant I to tell you what we require. It is totally unjust behavior towards the negotiation process. Here, if you want, I will tell, we want a bicameral parliament and we want Albanians to have the right to veto any decision. This is our proposal, if we want to be good citizens like Mr Ali Ahmeti”, said Thachi.

He went on to say that at the meeting, a new date for elections was mentioned, but he would not reveal more details. However, he was pleased that the international community are concentrating on a way out of the political crisis, and believes that the responsibility for the collapse of the Przhino Agreement is is among the three political parties, VMRO-DPMNE, DUI and SDSM.

“With Haindl, we talked about the political crisis, we agreed that Macedonia’s integration into NATO and the European Union should not have other alternatives”, concluded Thaci.
Today Hajndl ends his visit to Macedonia, after meeting all signatories of the Przhno Agreement. We have found out that next week he will return to Skopje with concrete proposals for a way out of the political crisis.
