Tanturovski: I will not resign because I do not feel responsible

-

I do not feel responsible, I was not named as responsible in the report and for that reason I do not intend to resign, said the Chairman of the State Commission for Preventing Corruption, (SCPC) Igor Tanturovski for “A1on” after the scandal of the Commission’s spending came to light.

“The report was conducted for internal use, but the purpose of its publication to the public was to discredit the Commission and its members only. What was published was paraphrased and is far from the truth. The purpose of the report was to provide recommendations on how to deal with certain inconsistencies”, said Tanturovski.

He argues that the recent events were political pressure on him and is the work of the Commission. He guarantees that there is no corruption in the Anti-Corruption Commission. Tanturovski said the report can not be officially shared with the public.

The Public Revenue Office’s (UJP) report on the work of the Commission, which was published in the media, showed that some of the members used unreliable travel orders for which they were paid in travel expenses.
