“Student plenum”: Tablets are not a priority for students

-

We think this is only a superficial reform and higher education and students need continuous investment and financial support, not such one-off reward that serve to distract us from the real issues, reacts “Student plenum” after the announcement of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski that students from third and fourth year, whose parents have lower incomes than the average salary, will receive tablets.

– We’ll see if the government is really willing to help when we raise the issue of financing the development of the new law. Although so far we have repeatedly stated what are the requirements of the students, if anyone still does not understand, we will repeat – we want human conditions in dormitories, we want proper and modern literature in Macedonian language, we want equipped laboratories for science and technical colleges, we want assistants, we want student cafeterias, student benefits, and free public transport. We want to know that we will be able to find work at home. Then, the project for free tablet would have sense – say representatives of “Student plenum”.
