So far, VMRO-DPMNE has the most expensive campaign, while Levica the most modest

The opposition VMRO-DPMNE have spent the most money in the first 10 days of the campaign for local elections, showed the financial report conducted by the State Election Commission’s.

The former ruling party collected around 488.000 euros from the membership fee, while they have also recieved 47,0000 euros from 207 donators. The list of donors includes mayoral candidates Ivan Frangov, Koce Trajanovski, Johan Tarculovski and Vlado Misajlovski, who donated 1,000 euros, while Ivica Konevski gave 500 euros for the party.

VMRO-DPMNE are spending most of its funds for advertising on TV Sitel, who so far have given 68,000 euros. Fewer funds are planned for Kanal 5, Telma, Televizija 24 and Alsat-M. For the advertisement on Facebook, the party has allocated 3,700 euros.

The ruling SDSM collected around 211.000 euros from the membership fee, while they received 36.000 euros from 76 donors. In the first 10 days of the campaign, the party has advertised only on “Alsat-M” for about 12,500 euros. The ruling party reported spending on transportation, renting space and advertising material.

Levica leads the modest campaign with only 2,000 euros collected from donations.

DUI reported to the SEC only the membership fee, which amounts to 6,500 euros, while Besa in its report stated that six people donated a total of 5,800 euros and collected 13,300 euros from the membership fee. The Alliance for Albanians collected 19,200 euros from donations.

The financial statements refer to the period from the opening of the transaction account until the end of the tenth day of the election campaign.
