The State Election Commission held a press conference this evening where the president Aleksandar Chichakovski confirmed the results from the re-vote in the municipality of Tearce that were published at the Commission’s official page a few hours ago.
245 persons have voted for SDSM, for VMRO-DPMNE 149, VMRO for Macedonia has won two votes, DUI 1, DPA 2, the Alliance for the Albanians 1, and there were 3 invalid ballots.
– On basis of the results and the remaining polling stations from the sixth electoral district, DUI has won 6 mandates, VMRO-DPMNE 4 mandates, SDSM 3 mandates, BESA 3 mandates, The Alliance for the Albanians has won 2 mandates and DPA 2 mandates. The final results will be published as soon as the procedure for lodging complaints by political parties will end – said Chichakovski.
Despite the re-vote, the mandates of the political parties remain unchanged and VMRO-DPMNE has won 51 seats, SDSM 49 mandates, DUI 10, Besa Movement 5, The Alliance for the Albanians 3 and DPA has won 2 mandates.
Chichakovski has announced that on Wednesday SEC will submit to the Parliament the certificates for the elected MPs along with the report for the implemented elections. If by the same term the final results from the ED6 are done they are going to submit the certificates for the MPs elected in this electoral district.
SEC evaluated that the voting was happening in a peaceful and fair atmosphere and the Commission did not receive any complaints and objections about voting irregularities during the voting at the polling station 2011 in the municipality of Tearce.
